Beginning of summer

This is what the trees look like come 1 December. Depending on the weather these berries can take another few weeks to a few months to ripen.

At this point it looks like the majority of trees will be ripe later in the season this year.

Last season we were picking near Christmas - it’s so interesting how a little heat can make such a dramatic difference.

I love summer for it’s longer evenings - I am appreciative of this when it’s picking time as it means it’s not so dang hot when picking!

Picking is slow and labor intensive! The berries grow individually on the branches so it’s not as quick as bigger clump or bunch fruit can be.

Wish us luck for a strong yield 👏

Enjoy your holidays when they come!
