Blood sugar

Research has found that the consumption of Maqui Berry can both delay and lower the after meal glucose levels and reduce insulin spike also.

Maqui Berry contains delphinidins that stimulate the excretion of glucagon like peptide 1. The peptide slows down the speed of which food moves through the stomach. This also means that the glucose from food reaches the absorption tissue in the small intestines later and in smaller quantities. Meaning there is lower and slower after meal glucose spike 🍇

👏 we had heard of such benefits anecdotally, but it is so great to have some research papers to support this as well.

*Please consult with your preferred medical provider before commencing supplements (including Maqui Berry Powder) as they can support you through this!
