We are so excited to share that we have partnered with Hero packaging and can now offer the option of compostable postage bags.
This is one of the few changes we intend on implementing, to reduce our environmental impact.
We appreciate the slightly increased cost for these compostable postage bags may not be feasible for all customers. That is why we have made it optional. We hope that one day this is the preferred option for most customers though.
When purchasing our Maqui Berry Powder, there is a drop down box for you to select which postage bag option you prefer. Either the Australia post prepaid post satchel or the compostable postage parcels. Select the latter if you would like to compost your parcel bag rather than adding the landfill.
Hero packaging have provided some helpful tips for how to do this in an image.
Our postage labels for the compostable parcels have been sourced through HeapsGood Packaging and naturally are also compostable. Through each order of postage labels we are contributing to the planting of trees through Ecologi. Which in combination with the planting of our own trees on our property will assist to offset the trees/paper we are using for the purposes of posting.

Before moving to the farm I must admit I wasn't very considerate of the amount of plastic and waste I as an individual generated. Since moving to our farm, I have had to adjust my habits as we have no rubbish collection. This has helped me to consider why we are using the products we do and how can I reduce the waste and changing things up if necessary!
I have been reviewing a lot of what we use in the Maqui Berry Product space, we have A LOT of stock of the containers we use, I must have added an extra zero when ordering them last 😂.
When we get through these I intend to change these also.... watch this space. It's interesting to look at what storage is used in products from supermarket, grocers and health food shops. Many similar type items are in pouches. I would be interested to hear if you have preferences over the wind up container that we currently use versus the stand up pouches.
