Keets

Farm ‘cute’ update:

Our Guinea fowl had babies - which I quickly learnt are called keets 👏

Guinea fowl are a recent addition to the property, in an attempt to warn of us of the many snakes that seem to be around this season.

They have done an excellent job at alerting and we have warmed to their funny flighty nature.

The lady fowl disappeared from sight for a few weeks and then the dads (we have two) started being extra attentive to their lady friend.

We tried to get close by and tada some keets were hiding with their mama.

We hope they survive as Guinea fowl are renowned for not being the best at remembering what is under foot.

They’ve started exploring around the property with their folks, and ventured up into the Maqui berry patch, hopefully eating any bugs and grubs along the way.

They’re a week or so old in this picture 🥰
