In the past few weeks I've been planting more Maqui berries. Timing is very important. Ideally if these plants could get established before the cold sets in. We may even be rewarded with fruit from these plants by next season 🤞
Whilst planting the Maqui's we were well and truely bombarded by leeches.
Within minutes we had several on us each. The kids decided it was more fun to search the leeches out rather than wait for them, so they spent a good thirty minutes finding, squeeling and then delivering them to the birds as snacks.
