Spring has sprung

The Maqui berries have been enjoying the weather we've experienced in Tasmania the last fortnight.

The berries are forming nicely. Usually ready for harvest mid to late summer.

We usually have very dry summers and it's noticeable what the right conditions can do. Our house yard grass has grown exponentially quickly it's needed mowing within the week. Our grass in the paddocks is also bouncing away, allowing for very happy cattle.

And our beautiful bees! They have been so busy, I did an inspection this week in one of the rare sunny moments, they had nearly formed all comb to the ends each frame, there were lots of eggs and brood, it was a wonderful sight to see for a new-bee keeper 🤭

Hoping the bees like their optimal location next to the Maqui berry patch!

Until next time 👋
